Are we mad?! We're planning a colossal marathon: 2,500 miles in a tuktuk. Quite a challenge, but then again rickshaws go for years in cities and towns around the world, why not put it through its paces on harder terrain? Starting at Kochi, near the southern tip of India, we're hoping to follow the west coast north, past Goa, Mumbai and Udaipur, to Jaipur and Agra. Then following the direction of the Ganges river, before turning north again at Varanasi and the final climb, into the Himalayan foothills and Nepal, to Kathmandu. Just in time for tea, and a spot of cricket! Before heading out, we've done a City & Guilds mechanics course. So at least we'll be able to recognize any faults, and point knowingly when the man with the tools comes to fix them! Some examples of articles and video submissions can be seen here to give you an idea of what lies before us. For on-the-road updates, click on the route map to find out how we're getting on.
